Type 1500 /1500R Surface Temperature Specialty Sensor

Surface temperatures can be a difficult measurement. Special engineering and extensive testing of the Smart Sensor surface pad provides fast response and accurate surface measurement. 

Type 1500 - Used to accurately measure the surface temperature of any pipe or tank greater than 3 inches in diameter. The standard X and Y dimensions reduces the heat sinc effect and greatly improves the accuracy. 

The 1500 is widely used for electric heat tracing control for freeze protection and process control, especially where changes in temperature can cause process material to stratify.

Type 1500R - This surface temperature design allows easy removal of the sensor. In applications where there is heavy insulation on the pipe the sensor can be removed without disturbing or removing the insulation, reducing replacement downtime and costs.
